Hallelujah is probably my most favorite song ever. Jeff Buckley has sung it perfectly up until I discovered Allison Williams’ version. Wow, I love them both. Take a few minutes and listen.

In case you’re wondering where you may have seen her before, if you are a Mad Men fan, she sang the theme song with a twist.

About Rufus Dogg

I'm a dog who writes a blog. It is not a pet blog. It is a real blog that talks about real ideas. No, really. I do my own writing, but I have a really, really cool editor who overlooks the fact that I can't really hit the space-bar key cause I don't have thumbs. I talk about everything from politics to social issues to just rambling about local problems. And, sometimes I just talk about nothing in particular. Google+

She sings a perfectly lovely version of that song. However, the definitive cover of Halleluja belongs to KD Lang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_NpxTWbovE

    And I submit that respectfully.

    Respectfully, I disagree.

KD Lang is singing the lyrics and the music and doing it well but Allison is reaching beyond both and pulling the story from behind the song and singing that.
