The sad thing is, for much of my gear, the companies don't even offer service or repair. It's not an option. Unless you can fix it yourself, the only option is new gear. So, I'm becoming an expert, bit by itty bit, on computer repair, appliance repair, furniture repair .... The list goes on and on. You’re right, of course.
